Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday

Location: Based from Coleshill, Birmingham – remote working.

About the Role

Marlux Commercial is seeking a proactive and personable Client Engagement Specialist to join our growing team. Working remotely and on a part-time basis, you will be at the heart of our business development activity—opening doors, sparking conversations, and helping to build a high-quality pipeline of opportunities across key NHS accounts.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on meaningful engagement, enjoys structured sales outreach, and takes pride in contributing to wider commercial success. You will work closely with our external Account Managers, ensuring they have a strong flow of qualified meetings and insights to support strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Drive outbound prospecting activity through phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn engagement to identify potential customers across NHS sites.
  • Qualify prospects using needs-based conversations to assess suitability and readiness to progress.
  • Maintain a consistent flow of leads and seamlessly hand over qualified opportunities to the external sales team.
  • Conduct research to uncover new business opportunities within assigned territories, including upcoming projects, tender updates, and new framework awards.

Sales Support

  • Support follow-up activity from events, exhibitions, and marketing campaigns to maximise conversion.
  • Keep CRM data (Freshsales/Freshworks) accurate and up to date, recording interactions, lead status, and outcomes.
  • Provide valuable feedback to the commercial team based on outreach performance and market insights.

Performance & KPIs

  • Achieve weekly and monthly activity targets across outbound calls, emails, and booked qualified meetings.
  • Support strong lead-to-opportunity conversion rates aligned to commercial KPIs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by refining messaging, outreach templates, and prospecting tactics.
  • Undertake any reasonable work activity requested by the General Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in telesales, inside sales, business development, or a similar lead-generation role.
  • Confident, clear, and engaging communication skills—especially on the phone.
  • Strong organisational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Competence using CRM systems and basic reporting tools.
  • The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and consistently hit daily activity targets.
  • Experience engaging with the healthcare sector or selling into NHS organisations (highly desirable).
  • Prior appointment-setting or B2B lead qualification experience.

What We Offer

  • Flexible working arrangements suited to your schedule (2–3 days per week).
  • Comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you succeed.
  • A friendly, collaborative, and positive team culture.
  • The opportunity to play a meaningful role in expanding our presence across key NHS markets.

How to Apply:

If you’re someone who enjoys building rapport, uncovering opportunities, and contributing to commercial growth in a dynamic and supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.
